This is Craig Green’s sixth season at London Collections: Men and this season he exploring the concept of protection. Having looked back at his collection last season, this collections depicts a gathering of ‘introspective dreamers’.
The contrasting themes of restriction & release and the traditional notions of elegance, Green continues to explore his interest of finding new contrasting themes. You can see in Craig’s design the deconstruction that unfolds around the model’s body amalgamated with sold strips of clothes know as swaddling, that has bee re-assembled.
The recurring link that runs through Green’s collections is the use of uniform and utilitarian designs but for this collection he has taken those two links and have out a fresh perspective on it.
With the aim to diffuse the sense of memory Green uses careful raging and tarnishing techniques to emulate that natural wear of long - serving garments (wear and tear) through gentler quality.
This collection has a lot of simulates from the last collections which has left me wondering whether this is one big collection with many episodes
